Tips |
- To avoid sticking treat with common non-stick sprays
before using. Don't use scrub pads to clean without re-treating before
next use.
|
- Cook over coals. If you must cook over a flame,
rub soap over the outside first. This will make cleaning a
breeze
|
- When baking use about one small shovel of hot coals
underneath and two or three of coals on top. (Example: 4 to 6
charcoal bricketts on the bottom and 8 - 12 on top.)
|
- Pre-heat to facilitate faster cooking.
|
- Use a minimum of three units for a complete
meals: Two to bake with an one for stewing or frying for four to
six adults.
|
- To wash simply wipe out with paper towels and pour
half full of hot water, let soak for 3 minutes, or use a dish pan for
other dishes, pour water out and wipe clean with paper towels.
|
- For most efficient frying or baking the bottom of the
pan should be at least ½" about the coals for air flow.
|
- Handy legs for baking or frying can be made by using
rocks, sticks or pieces of wire from a coat hanger.
|
- Use ordinary pliers or vise grips for handles.
(You'll find other uses for pliers on an outing.)
